…it is not so much for Quill and Quire, but I am excited about that, too, despite the lack of an appropriate B word. October is shaping up to be pretty spectacular, starting with the October issue of Quill and Quire, Canada’s magazine of book news and reviews. On page 37 is a great review of Words That Start With B- including a shot of the oh-so-pretty cover (B is for branding, or at the very least, book recognition). I am in good company, reviwed alongside kidlit icons Gordon Korman and Kenneth Oppel and friend and wordsmith extraordinaire, Robert Paul Weston.
I am also all set to present on Thursday, October 28th at the International Festival of Authors. I will be presenting in the Brigantine Room, which is either a happy accident or an alliterative stroke of genius by the good programming folks at Harbourfront. B is for bang on, IFOA, bang on. Interested in hearing me speak? Grab a friend, a child, or a classroom of children and come on down! You can buy tickets here.
Thanks to Julia for the pic of B Words in the wild- West Coast Edition! She has just begun her teaching training, which you can read about on her fabulous blog here.
